I was out this weekend and stumbled across this:
If you can be the first one to fire off an email to me at mpinard@kdpaine.com, and tell me where this photo was taken and what it is a picture of (stairs to the ..... ),I will send you a gas card from Irving for $5.00. Hey - at least it is a gallon of gas!
Good luck!
Hint: It was taken in Coos County.
CONGRATULATIONS TO NORM C. FOR CORRECTLY ANSWERING TODAY'S "WHERE IS IT" QUESTION!
THE PICTURE IS OF THE STAIRS TO A GRIST MILL THAT USED TO BE LOCATED ON PHILLIPS BROOK IN CRYSTAL (STARK) ON PLAIN ROAD. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED!!!

Yes, the fish hatchery road, York pond road. The best maintained road in the city, but you gotta get to West Milan then double back into Berlin. I wonder if there is any Federal money to pave roads in the part of Berlin where people live. Are there grants to help Berlin Reconstruct its' roads and housing stock? Is there federal money to help Berlin be ready for a federal prison. Will those Federal workers actually live in Berlin, without incentives, the way the city is. Will enough of them to make a ositive impact on the community, move to the community. How are we encouraging federal workers to move to berlin. I know we have not talked about that subject, properly. I know where it is being built, what is it going to cost, but I don't know one thing we are doing, specifically, to encourage these federal workers to move to and live in Berlin. The act of not doing so, on the federal governments part, is a failure to mitigate the real negative environmental impact that we will face, Sprawl. Did we fight for a federal prison to encourage new housing in Gorham and Milan (some did), or was it marketed to us to help Berlin (who is suffering), I was unaware Milan, Gorham, Errol, etc were suffering, miserable places that needed to change. No, it is Berlin that is suffering and could use a change and nobody is going to tell me they cannot afford it, we just didn't insist on it, if the Federal government can afford to pave a road in the middle of the woods, it can afford to help Berlin be all it can be!

Could the answer to Allen Walters question be York Pond Road?

Where in Berlin will you find miles and miles of new pavement, miles of contiguous, new road? I will give you two hints, there are only about 5 homes serviced by this road and "you can't get there from heya".
