Grab your kids if you got ‘em, significant others if you can stand ‘em (haha) and some containers for picking your own apples. Whether it’s a bushel basket or a plastic bag it should be a good time and the apple pies and crisps sure will taste good! If you are interested in packing a picnic lunch, there’s a nice spot in Gilead on the right just after where you’d turn off to get to the Orchard.
Gibson’s has over 40
varieties on dwarf and Semi Dwarf Trees to pick from. It’s handicap
accessible, flat and easy to drive right in. They have apple picking poles for
the little ones. They also sell fresh pressed cider, Gib Bees Honey, Maine
Maple Syrup and let you have a taste of one thing or another while you are
there.
